Terms

Effective 29 July 2026

The short version: you paid once for a Mac app. Use it on your own machines, and understand that I can't promise it's perfect.

What you're buying

A license to use Copper on the Macs you use, for work or for your own projects. One person, one license.

It's a one-time purchase. There's no subscription and nothing to renew.

Updates are included

Future updates to Copper are part of what you paid for. You won't be asked to buy the same app twice.

What not to do

Don't resell Copper, share your license key, or pass it off as your own work.

Copper doesn't check your license after it's installed. That's deliberate. I'd rather ask than police it.

Refunds

If Copper isn't for you, email me at m@shadcn.com within 30 days and I'll refund it. Lemon Squeezy is the merchant of record for Copper, so the refund itself is processed by them.

If you're in the UK or EU, your statutory rights apply on top of anything written here.

No warranty

Copper is provided as is. I use it every day and I test it, but I can't promise it will be free of bugs or right for what you have in mind.

Your notes live in a file on your Mac. Keep backups. Time Machine is enough.

Liability

If something goes wrong, what I owe you is capped at what you paid for Copper. As far as the law allows, I'm not liable for lost work, lost data, or other knock-on losses.

Changes

If these terms change, I'll update the date at the top. A change doesn't apply retroactively to a purchase you've already made.
